Today is my birthday and I am 43. Good lord that sounds frightfully old! My oldest girl made me breakfast in bed at 6.30am, egg, potatoes, beans and mushroom. Yum! I got cool pressies and cards from friends and family and today I will escape house painting and painting clothes for a couple of hours and go to town to spend some birthday money. And tonight i am going out with some lovely girlfriends for beer and curry. Hooray!

As for sounding old - I'd swap you any day. Your age for mine! And as an old lady I feel it incumbent on me to say that these 'prove you're not a robot' things are getting harder and harder - the one I see below me is daunting in its demands and I see failure looming...

Cheers guys for your birthday wishes. Just got back form the pub and curry. Had to leave the pub to escape unwanted man attention which was a bit odd at our age. Up until this point we had a lovely night. Best wishes and thanks to you.
